Sixth Padivizha at Jnanamalai on 14-15 October 2006
On the 15th October the Sixth Padivizha of the Lord of Jnanamalai Murugan Hill Temple Steps took place by His grace.

14th October 2006 Program
The function started on the evening of 14th October from 6pm with the lectures by:
- Tiruppugazh Chemmani S.A. Narayanan
Subject: "Yoganubhooti" - Arunagiridasan Dr. M.Ramakrishnan
Subject: "Tirujnana Vezhavakuppu" - Tiruppugazh Isai Vazhipadu
15th October 2006 Program
- 6 AM "Velmaral Parayanam'
- 7 AM Palkudam, Tiruppugazh Parayanam, bhajans and Girivalam
- 8 AM Tiruppadip pujai and Tiruppugaz Padivizha
The Padivizha was blessed by Thavaththiru Balmuruganadimai Swami of Rathnagiri Murugan Temple. Sri. Swamigal declared open a stone inscription (Tirumanthiram) and also planted a sapling. Swamiji appreciated the social work done by our group which culminated in getting the President's Award for "Total Hygenic Village" for this village.
Eleven Tiruppugazh Sabhas including one from Salem and another from Bangalore participated. The Tiruppugazh songs reverberated the hills and amongst the Six Vizhas. Sabhas included:
- Swami Guhananda Thiruppugazh Sabha, Salem
- Kumarankundram Thiruppugazh Sabha, Chromepet,
- Thirumayilai Singaaravelar Thiruppugazh Sabha , Chennai
- Vallakkottai Muganadiyar Thiruppugazh Sabha, Chennai
- Arulneri Avai, Madippakkam
- Sri Shanmukhananda Sabha, Perambur
- Murugan Thiruppugaz Sabha, Madippakkam
- Pambanar Palani Padayatrai Kuzhu, Chennai
- Alsur Thiruppugaz Thevara Arutparayana Sabha Ulsoor, Bangalore
- Thiruppugazh Sangamam. Chennai (Host sabha)
- Thiruvidaikkazhi Thiruppugaqzh Sabha, Neiveli
From 10:30 am to 12 noon Special Abishegam and a Pushpanjali for the Lord were conducted. All the functions were very well attended From 1 pm annadanam and Adiyar Annmpalippu took place. Nearly a thousand adiyars were given annampalippu.
The functions were ably organised by our Tiruppugazh Amudan Valaiyappettai Ra. Krishnan and all our volunteers and the visitors made the function a great success.
